does maildrop manipulate mail header while delivering

Hello List;

While delivering mail to recipient, does maildrop remove any header info from the mail being delivered.

I ask this question because, on my mail system, ı see that amavisd-new adds spam info header into the current mail,
but when the current mail reached maildrop and is put into user folder, i see that there is no spam header info.

I ask this situation to amavis-user mailing list. They say "there is no problem in amavisd-new, ask to maildrop mailing list."

I think that maildrop is not suppossed to manipulate the content of the original mail in any situation.
But i want to confirm it to you. By the way, iread the maildrop manuals, and do not see that
maildrop manipulates the original mail.

regards,
