recompile from source

hi,

currently, i have a production qmail-ldap. previously, when i compile the server, i have forgetten to put
TLS facility on to it.
now, i need encryption on my email header. 
so, how should i do next? can i recompile the server from source again?
will it be affected? pls advise.
