Hi there, Just out of interest, At Sat, 01 Aug 2009 23:19:46 +0200, Juergen Fuhrmann wrote: This one: > > Hiragana: > > いろはにほへど ちりぬるを > わがよたれぞ つねならむ > うゐのおくやま けふこえて > あさきゆめみじ ゑひもせず > This one: > Kanji > > 色は匂へど 散りぬるを > 我が世誰ぞ 常ならむ > 有為の奥山 今日越えて > 浅き夢見じ 酔ひもせず > And these four: > Chinese: 我能吞下玻璃而不伤身体。 > Chinese (Traditional): 我能吞下玻璃而不傷身體。 > Japanese: 私はガラスを食べられます。それは私を傷つけません。 > Korean: 나는 유리를 먹을 수 있어요. 그래도 아프지 않아요 > I get squares for. This is on "GNU Emacs 23.0.96.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.16.4) of 2009-07-17 on elegiac, modified by Debian" and is most likely because my current font (as it's GTK I can use arbitrary fonts, nicely anti-aliased), Liberation Mono, doesn't have glyphs defined for those characters.
