As for audio quality on a separate cable....I have used both the 13pin cable and a sistered audio cable. For
convienience the single cable is preferrable, for sound quality, the weak link is not the 13pin, it is the
1/4" to 1/8" cable linking the audio jack of the guitar to the gk-2 (or 3) unit. I also have a Roland ready
Strat, and I cannot tell the difference.
