RE: Just when was she a boy?

well put!

when i was a boy, we had to listen to easily-warped vinyl discs with
grooves! and not the good kind of groove! we had to walk forty miles
in the snow to get a new stylus!

Thanks again!

"...Yessir, way back
when I was boy...,
we used to walk 17 miles through the snowstorms to.... well... uh...
'cause we were bound by the beauty, y' see...."

While that is a very general frame,
"When we all were boyz....,"
the album overall strikes me as Jane's most personal & intimate,
i.e. particular,
and very much in the sorrowful present.

A question she often asks herself!
