Re[6]: Fwd: (GABBER) neo nazi stuff

I said,

>>I never hear people defending a child molester's right to free
>>speech while everyone rallies around racist murdering NAZIs.

"Rallying" is maybe too strong a word. It was more a comment on
on the nature of this nazi vs. liberal 'Vote yes or no!' information
loop I keep seeing. Reading about one of our gang getting beat up
because she was wearing Doc's really made me re-examine my beliefs.
I am still in agreement about freedom of speech to all--although
I still wonder about the right to free speech in places like
reunited Germany. One thing I've notice is that when it comes to
white supremacy it is maybe a little too easy to defend free speech--
I don't mean you Earache or anybody else on this list I'm speaking in
general--so that it seems like there is some latent racism acting here.
Like it seems like it would be really easy for someone like Bob Dole
to feel very strongly about free speech for everybody including
NAZI's but when it comes to, oh, openly publishing the recipe
for E in the mainstream press or broadcasting Anton LaVey's
Church of Satan mass we suddenly get the old "shouting fire
in a crowded theatre" theatre argument. This inversely
corresponds to the fact that gay murders hardly ever get
investigated or prosecuted even though everybody is against
murder. Equality for all only some people are more equal
than others.

<long pause after that tangent>

As you can see I am in dangerous territory here and am basing
my ideas more on intuition than defendability. If people want to
argue with me they will probably win.

>What I see from people (nobody on this list) who "want to shut it out" and
>"turn it off" is a friendly form of facism and intellectual holier than
>thou. Right minded people are the most annoying fuckers on the face of the
>planet, I should know I am one. But I still know that trying to stifle and
>or quiet something by denying them the same freedom I have is terribly wrong.

True. But if some skinhead was talking shit about a friend of mine
and was plotting with his loser friends to beat my friend up I would
probably disregard their right to free speech and tell them to shut
their fucking mouths and get the fuck out of here if they know what's
good for them!
