Yeah, it would be good if the version is another thing which is only fetched
once you start hovering over the person you're interested in.

I wonder if that's a feature request waiting to happen... I've started 
to notice
the karma blowout on login so much lately that I actually culled people 
from my
roster to reduce the impact.
