Re: Detecting WMQ Client install

T.Rob,

On AIX I use

lslpp -l | grep -i mq

This will give a list of all packages installed that have mq in it.

Subject: Detecting WMQ Client install

Good day listers,

When you inventory software on your *nix servers, how do you detect installation of the WMQ client?  Does it have an mqver command?  What about on Windows?

I've been asked to provide this info to our automation team and not only do I not have any clients installed, I don't even have access to a server or workstation where WMQ Server is not already installed.  (Got a lot of WMQ server code over here!)

TIA -- T.Rob
