[opennms-discuss] Sun's new JDK 1.4.2 and RedHat 9

I read the release notes for the new JDK 1.4.2 and decided that there
migth be a few good thigns for OpenNMS in allt he fixed, and wanted to
take it for a spin. 

The results from a superficial test-drive on a smallish system (~100
services across 12-13 maschines) that ran on RedHat 9 (i386) on a
P4-2.4GHz with half a gigabyte of memory are not very bright. It will
discover things nicely, but polling fails seriously and most services
are marked as down even if available. YMMV.

So there's your 30 second review of things ;)
