[opennms-discuss] Dropping packets thresholding?

I was looking for a way to do this and didn't find it.

In a round about way I stumbled across the topic when also reading  
about StrafePing.

Is using Strafeping the only way to do this?  Or is there another way  
that I missed?  And if I use strafeping for this, is there a way to  
make it down when a percentage is dropped, or say 5 out of 20, or  
something like that?
