Problem solved thanks to the questions Matt asked. The answers to his questions: I found libgcc_s.so.1 in the following places: /usr/local/lib/sparcv9/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/local/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 We installed the following packages: DBD-Pg-1.32 DBI-1.42 MIME-Base64-3.01 bash-2.05-sol9-sparc-local cvs-1.11.5-sol9-sparc-local gcc-3.3-sol9-sparc-local gettext-0.11.5-sol9-sparc-local glib-1.2.10-sol9-sparc-local grep-2.5-sol9-sparc-local gtk+-1.2.10-sol9-sparc-local j2sdk-1_4_0_02-solaris-sparcv9.sh libgcc-3.3-sol9-sparc-local libiconv-1.8-sol9-sparc-local make-3.80-sol9-sparc-local ncurses-5.3-sol9-sparc-local opennms-1.1.3-2-sol9-sparc-local openssl-0.9.7b-sol9-sparc-local perl-5.8.0-sol9-sparc-local postgres-7.3.4-sol9-sparc-local readline-4.3-sol9-sparc-local rrdtool-1.0.45-sol9-sparc-local sudo-1.6.7p5-sol9-sparc-local tcp_wrappers-7.6-sol9-sparc-local tomcat-4.1.18-sol8-sparc-local wget-1.8.2-sol9-sparc-local zlib-1.1.4-sol9-sparc-local The solution: I added: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib To the OpenNMS Startup script that we use and the problem is solved.
