[rancid] Build Rancid Statically?

Hi all,  sorry if this is a dumb question but is there any way to build rancid statically? It’s a dependency nightmare on my Centos 3.6 system to get the required libraries upgraded. I’ve looked around for statically linked binaries on the web without any luck L … thanks!
