Kernel module options issue

Hello there!

I am having quite interesting issues with Thinstation 5.1.

My thinstation configuration uses the iwlwifi module, which unfortunately has many bugs. While attempting to find how to solve these bugs, I have hit an impasse. While I have found a solution that works for me, I am having trouble implementing it.

What I need to do, is to disable 11n at boot time. I have tried adding this option to the module.list file;

module iwlwifi 11n_disable=1

This has no effect.

I have also tried creating machines/<name>/etc/modprobe.d/local config file with the following line:
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1

This also has no effect. The file is created, but modprobe ignores it at boot. If I reload the module, then modprobe picks up on this config file.

Therefore, I humbly ask for your assistance, since I have run out of googling material!
