I doubt this is due to whitespaces. At the moment, Unison requires a
path to correspond to a location in an existing directory. So, if you
want to synchronize the path
"/home/unison/Documents and Settings/user/Desktop/batches",
the directory
"/home/unison/Documents and Settings/user/Desktop"
must exist.
