Étrange que cette liste de logiciels "adaptatifs" (adaptés pour des personnes ayant divers déficits) ne mentionne pas de logiciels libres!

Adaptive computer software and hardware is often expensive, but there is a remarkable selection of free and inexpensive options available to computer users with disabilities. This isn’t well known, however, so the Adaptech Research Network expanded its online database of free and inexpensive adaptive technology <http://adaptech.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/fandi_e.php> as part of its work in the Dis-IT Research Alliance.
The database now covers over 125 products in eight categories including writing tools, screen magnifiers, screen readers, dictation software, and optical character recognition software.
The Dis-IT Research Alliance was supported by grants from the Initiative on the New Economy program of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Les logiciels et le matériel informatique adaptatifs sont souvent onéreux. Pourtant, les utilisateurs d’ordinateurs pourraient se prévaloir d’une remarquable sélection de logiciels gratuits ou peu onéreux. Elle n’est toutefois pas très connue. Par conséquent, dans le cadre de sa collaboration avec l’Alliance de reccherche Dis-IT, l’Adaptech Research Network a décidé d’élargir sa base de données en ligne pour y inclure des technologies adaptatives gratuites ou peu onéreuses <http://adaptech.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/fandi_f.php> .
Cette base de données englobe à présent cent vingt-cinq (125) articles répartis en huit catégories, notamment les logiciels de rédaction, les logiciels de grossissement d’écran, les lecteurs d’écran, les logiciels de dictée et les logiciels de reconnaissance optique de caractères.
L’Alliance de recherche Dis-IT a été financée par des subventions du programme de l’Initiative de la nouvelle économie, du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines du Canada.
