Well... the date for LinuxTag had been fixed and known for months when
the LSM decided to put itself on the same date.

I'm not sure I find making such a classification useful, but generally
speaking, both should go to both events.

The focus of the events is slightly different, as LSM is mostly for
networking the Free Software community internally, whereas LinuxTag is
for networking internally and externally. 

So people who go to LSM should also go to LinuxTag. Not everyone going
to LinuxTag should go to LSM, though -- the LinuxTag has in the past
had visitor numbers around 17.000 people -- including a lot of people
who have little knowledge about or connection to Free Software.
