 Seems to work pretty good so far. I installed both this and the new
Gutenprint, started CUPSd, then went to the CUPS web interface to delete my
original Gutenprint printer (DeskJet 990C simplified) and got an 'Internal
server error' when I chose 'Delete printer' in the drop-down. Went back to
the CUPS interface and the printer was indeed deleted. Then I installed the
new Gutenprint printer through the web interface and everything seemed to go
well - I printed the test page and then a couple of single-page and
multi-page jobs from several apps.

  In the past I have noticed that the Gutenprint PPD installed by CUPS would
get truncated (I have reported this on your bug tracker). This happened again
when I used these new versions. It still seems to print OK (the truncated
part is mostly font definitions) but I went ahead and manually extracted the
complete ppd and placed it in \cups\etc\cups\ppd just to be safe. That works
too.

  Many thanks for providing these... I hate to think where we'd be without
you doing this. I'll report if anything crops up...
