Re: Java/Hibernate e-commerce open source project:ElasticPath
Never the less a good example of a simple product web site and demo, IMO.
Ok, has anyone used or know of an open source, java based, e-commerce framework? I know of oscommerce, a PHP/apache/mysql, framework that's quite complete I hear.

They advertise that it can run on a 100% open source stack, but the ecommerce app itself is pay-for-play to the tune of $13K.
Bummer…

For being open source these guys have the best website, demo, an actual discussion of their architecture and features etc...
http://www.elasticpath.com/
Should you be considering an e-commerce app, shopping cart inventory management, the above is so far the best I've seen. It's java/hibernate based too.
Other open source frameworks like this have been PHP / apache based, which is great, but not as compatible with my work's env as java under any web/java container du jour.Has anyone used ElasticPath or other open source (java) e-commerce apps?
tnx curt
