[clug] fedora firmware files

I have Fedora 10 and just installed a usb DVB (TV tuner)  - 
http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/artec-t14br-usb-digital-tv-receiver/ and I eventually got 
it working by download a firmware file : dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw

Anyway just wondering how do I handle this for future upgrades of the Kernel will the 
firmware rpm overwrite my file and how do I know when fedora will include this in the 
future ? ie out-of-the-box support.

Or do I just need to reinstall after every major upgrade?
