Next Meeting: Guest Speaker (Network Introspection with OSS Tools)

Howdy,

This month, we have a guest speaker coming up all the way from
Washington DC!  His name is Brad, and he'll be speaking on "Network
Introspection with Open Source Tools".

His talk was accepted at the LinuxWorld conference this August -- and he's
offered to deliver it to us in exchange for some feedback!

The abstract:

"Information Security is a hot field these days.  However, most Security
Policies deal with the world from the perspective of high school physics
class: no friction, zero air resistance.  This presentations intends to
demonstrate how to leverage a variety of Open Source Projects to gain a
better understanding of your network.  Leveraging this understanding,
it's possible to attach security policies to networks that actually
increase productivity and limit wasted time and money.

Persons with sensitivity to Mockery of Corporate Policies should consult
their physician prior to attending."
