if you had checked the thread, you would have found suggestions for  
quanta, nvu, etc etc which are all poor cousins of dreamweaver in the  
WYSIWYG department. The point is, that the nix philosophy being what  
it is, there are very often no tools that give an exact alternative  
to the proprietary tool. There are a large many projects that attempt  
to clone the proprietary tool, but as far as I can see, in all those  
attempts the clone is far below the original in quality. Some examples:

OO word and doze word
vb dot net and mono
vb and gambas

success stories are where cloning is not attempted and the nix tool  
develops in it's own way. Examples:
Gimp and Photoshop
Blender and Maya

So, if you want something like dreamweaver, spend the 600USD and get  
and use dreamweaver.
