NetBSD/*arm on emulation?

   From the "Running NetBSD on emulated hardware" page[1], it seems
the state of NetBSD/*arm on emulators is rather unfortunate.  Has
anyone looked into getting modern NetBSD working on ARM under qemu
or gxemul? I'm considering a project which would generate ARM code
and would like to have an OS to run it under. Would it make sense
to have an emuarm port which is targeted specifically towards
emulated environments?
