Debug trace & ps?

We have an OBSD 3.3 machine (GENERIC I386 #41) that has crashed twice in 
the past two months. Nothing appears in messages, .. however when the 'blue 
screen' appears, it suggests running trace & ps to capture the system 
status to analyze the root cause.

Unfortunately, neither trace nor ps in debug seem to accept a '>' in order 
to capture the output to a file, so how is this critical information 
captured for analysis??
