Hi!
I have a SUN LX50 server (single Pentium III 1.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 2x9GB hard
drives) and it will be used as a storage server (NFS). It will run
solaris 10U6. Now, since it has so little hard drive space, I thought of
buying it an eSATA adapter card along with an external hard drive (eSATA
compatible, of course) and use that as my storage drive. I have two
questions regarding this server's install:
1. I want to use the two 9GB drives in a mirror setup, but since the
SCSI controller in the server seems not to do hardware mirror, what
would be the way to create the mirror with software using solaris?
2. Which card model/brand can i use to connect the eSATA drive to the
server?
Thanks a lot.
