Re: [Sansevierias] Re:Reply to Hermine

Hi Norma,

Haven't spoken to you in a long time. Hope everything is going well for you. I haven't tried Vitamin B, but that's a good idea. Keep in mind these chlorotic Sans can become nice-looking variegates, and if I fertilize them too much they stand a better chance of developing too much chlorophyll. Thanks for the idea to use Vitamin B.

Havae you tried liquid B vitamins, or the stuff you use on tree when their leaves turn that way?  I have and it works even on citrus and echinopsis.  Norma

Hermine, I agree that they look, and are chlorotic. Fortunately, most of them will develop a nice variegation over time. They do require nurturing, and caring to keep the plant alive, and then to stimulate sufficient chlorophyll growth to develop a 'healthy' variegated plant. It's almost like taking the plant to the edge of death, and then reviving it. Fortunately, I've had more successes than failures.

Attached is a PDF file of pictures/descriptions of variegated Sansevierias. If you can't open the file, let me know and I'll try another way to post it.

Arnie, these plants look CHLOROTIC
