Re: Ohip Turnpike
I've stayed in these many times while traveling. In addition to the hook-up, the slots are wide enough to open your slides if you have them They are relatively quieter than parked with the trucks, but you better have good room darkening shades, as they are well lit all night long. They are also close to the off-ramp and will have rigs, with jake brake on, traveling past as they pull in to fuel up or park. The key thing to remember is they have a 40 foot limit in total length. So if you are longer than that, you won't fit. Our old coach was just shy of 41 feet and it was a tight fit. I had to pull all the way into the spot touching the rear of our coach to the guardrail and I was still hanging out into the road way. Overall though, it is a welcome addition and definitely better stopping in one of these if you find yourself traveling east and would need to stop somewhere on the PA turnpike if you pushed on. PA turnpike is not as welcoming. John D. Country Coach Rhapsody R007 ------------------------------------
