John - I am referring to the list below and its composition. No industry (Roffer is not on the list even though I believe he has asked to be part of the team - and he certaily represents a limited segment of the private sector), no Florida, GA, NC agency rep, no Gulf Council rep, etc..

frank- The SEFSC will be involved as well, but I have been out in the field and just returned. as for industry- who are you referring to? I know Mitch roffer is interested but am not sure who else should be included. I think this is something we can discuss at the meeting. I do think john Hunt (FWC Marathon) should be included if he is not already.

Dear everyone:
As I suspected, the "team" continues to be heavily loaded with "edu" types, with two (2) state (note only SC!), a couple fed (GOV, Seagrant) , and one (1) fisheries council representative.
Do I dare repeat that we need to engage industry folks, other state agencies in other states, not just by secretly sending the draft documents, but by openly inviting them and including in the "team"?
How do we open this process? Can the SEACOOS outreach representative(s) take charge of disseminating/engaging others, since the "team" does not seem to get to the point of doing this?
Fisheries "team" as per http://seacoos.org/teams/fisheries-circulation/ on 20 July 2005:

It has been greatly improved (and it has grown a bit in length) in
response to your input. There is an attempt to have general ideas as
well as specific examples for consideration.
Cisco,
Thanks for forwarding this version. With the receipt of this draft, your team
folder has been published:
