The malleable nature of nationality and citizenships is EXACTLY why the whole nationality-based
quota/qualification system is an outdated anachronism.  Does is REALLY matter if Claire Scanlon is
Irish, or Nijenhuis is Dutch, Swahili or Albertan?

Beorn Nijenhuis was Dutch champion (Juniors B) before he was a Dutch 
citizen,
which prevented some results of him that season from becoming a Dutch 
(Junior) record.
