Re: Open letter on abolishing software patents in Australia

Here's some ammunition for our letter: it looks like New Zealand will
abolish software patents:

| proposed Patents Bill hence software will be unpatentable once the Bill
| passes into law.

There are some good quotes in there, too. Perhaps we should change the
tone of our letter to specifically recommend that Australia follow New
Zealand's lead in this (rather than just using it as an example). But
I suppose that could be dangerous, in the event that this bill doesn't
get passed.
